THE number of police reports in today’s The Singleton Argus is alarming as it brings to everyone’s attention the safer our roads can be with the policing of drivers.
Many drivers are often very quick to say that they are a very careful driver and loved one’s need not be concerned when they are out on the roads.
These are not the people that cause concern.
There are some drivers out there who are taking risks with other people’s lives.
Think about your actions before you get behind the wheel after a few drinks, or are running late for something and think that because you are an experienced driver you can go faster.
Speed limits are there to keep everyone safe on the road.
Rules and laws are in place to keep everyone safe on the road.
But it is up to us as individuals to make sure we abide by these.
And if you are with someone who is not - tell them that they are taking more than their own lives into their hands.
Drivers need to consider themselves, their passengers and fellow road users everytime they get behind that wheel.
And if they don’t the police are out there to remind them.
