DESCRIBED as a “nurse’s god send” the new electronic urine analysis machine at Singleton Hospital is a much welcomed donation.
The machine, valued at $1000, is a donation from the Singleton Classic Motorcycle club who used funds raised from their annual rally to purchase the equipment.
Mainly used to test patient’s urine for conditions such as diabetes or infections, the urine analysis machine has helped ease the work load for staff at the local hospital.
The donation is the second in two years from the motorcycle club who have become annual supporters of the hospital.
“We thought the hospital would be the best because most of Singleton will benefit from it,” said Singleton Classic Motorcycle club secretary Daniel Guillon.
Mr Guillon said the donation was a joint effort from the motorcycle club and Valley Longwall Drilling who both donated funds to purchase the new piece of equipment.
