Broke Fordwich

13 Aug, 2010 11:23 AM

THE Broke Fordwich Wine Region can expect an increased number of visitors to the area with the implementation of two new signs marking the region.

The new reflective white signs replace the older, green ones that previously signposted the area. They are located in Broke on the corner of Broke Road and Milbrodale Road and are clearly visible to passing motorists.

Secretary of the Broke Fordwich Tourism Association Mike Wilson believes the improved signage will have a positive effect on the prosperity of the businesses in the area.

“The old signs were ten years old and almost unreadable to passing cars,” said Mr Wilson.

“On top of that, seven of the places on the new signs were not even listed on the old ones, so a lot of people didn’t even know what we have here.

“Hopefully the new signs will change that.”
