Gas committee decided

07 Jun, 2011 01:55 PM
IT looks as if the appointment of representatives for the Hunter Gas Community Consultative Committee will be sooner rather than later. A Bulga resident has received a letter notifying him that he has not been successful in his application for the CCC. While a spokesperson for the Minister For Resources and Energy said this is a preliminary stage of the process, she did say it shows the announcement of the committee may not be far away. The spokesperson confirmed the names of the representatives would be announced to the public as soon as the positions have been appointed.

Personally i find these CCC's a rort, unenforceable guidelines arent rules. What protection is there for the Community reps? its not like they are properly constituted committees.By the way has anyone ever seen an supposedly publicly available annual report to the Director General as per the Ministers Guidelines? Id love to locate one of these gems. Ever known an "independent" auditor to actually consult with the committee directly to see if the Community really is satisfied before ticking the box? Shallow window dressing is my experience. You fight to get on the CCC's only to be shafted.
