After taking out the tourism and hospitality award, the Broke-Fordwich business then took out the overall win at this year’s Singleton Outstanding Business Awards.

Marketing manager Lisa Margan said it was absolutely a great honour to be recognised as a successful business at the local business awards.

“Yes, it is true we have won lots of awards, but most of the awards so far are for particular products,” she said.

“This one is great as it recognises us as a business,” she said.

Lisa Margan said they have spent a lot of time working on their business model and they strive to continually improve.

“A lot of time and effort goes into working on a business model, and we constantly review our operations,” she said.

“We have a quality staff and we have quality control throughout every part of our operation.”

Margan Family Wines have won 16 major international and national trophies, along with many other awards and medals.

They are finalists in the Best Restaurant and Best Winery at this year’s Hunter Tourism Awards that will be judged in Newcastle this week.
