Putty road upgrades

19 Apr, 2011 10:01 AM
WORK has started on roadside improvements to Putty Road.

Member for Upper Hunter George Souris said $750,00 has been provided for the safety work on Putty Road, between Milbrodale and Putty.

“The project involves rock and tree removal, rock bolting, and installing wire mesh to stabilise the slope,” Mr Souris said.

“Work will be carried out during the day with single lane closures in place.

“This work will provide improved safety for motorists and local residents and result in reduced maintenance costs.”

The work is expected to be completed in June 2011, weather permitting.

The RTA thanks motorists for their patience during this important work.
