Singleton air monitoring expands

15 Feb, 2011 09:02 AM
THE new air quality monitoring network website will provide hourly average figures, not the existing 24 hour averages.

For some years existing monitoring was criticised because of the averaging, with opponents believing the figures did not give a true indication of what was happening.

“The community members were saying they wanted a shorter time frame and we are now looking at that,” said air network advisory committee chairperson Cathy Cole.
