Singleton's 28th Art Prize opening night Friday

COME Friday the Civic Centre will be filled with artwork and paintings for opening night of Singleton’s 28th Art Prize.

Yesterday saw the first batch of works couriered from Sydney and the Central Coast with more set to arrive today and tomorrow.

This year’s show has attracted 705 entries across 11 sections which include traditional, watercolour, contemporary, pencil, pen and ink, flowers, still life, miniature, local and youth.

Prizes range from $50 for youth award winners up to $2500 for the show’s top gong, the traditional prize.

Winners will be announced on Friday night at 8pm with doors open from 7pm until 10pm.
