This is a two-day Carnival held on December 12 and 13 at Cessnock. Zone Championships are conducted in each of the 24 Zones throughout the State.

Singleton resides in Hunter Zone and our athletes will compete against others from Cessnock, Kurri Kurri, Maitland, East Maitland, Muswellbrook, Rutherford and Aberdeen.

Athletes can enter up to four events including a combination of track and field. The first 3 successful participants progress to Regional and if successful again, will compete in the State Championships.

The only exceptions are U7s who do not progress past Zone and U8s who do not progress past Regional.

Clubs can also enter relay teams in addition to the 4 individual events.

Regional Championships will be held on February 20 and 21, 2010, at Tamworth and the State Track and Field Championships will take place 19 – 21 March at the Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre.

This is a wonderful opportunity for Singleton athletes to meet and compete with other athletes in a fun and friendly environment.

The carnival is a parent run event, therefore parents/carers wishing to enrol their children must be prepared to assist with the duties Singleton will have throughout the two days.

Entries can only be taken through Singleton Track and Field Club.

The Club will be taking entries on the next two club nights, November 3 and 10.
