A ladies four of Val Smith and Daisy Cullen 5 succumbed to Miriam Knight and Colleen Moxey 7.
The Gentlemen’s four of Leon Shade and Errol Ruming 6 were just pipped at the last hoop by Ivan and Les Fisher 7 even though Leon played with ingenious flair.
Betty Knight had pleasing results playing with Val and Leon for wins.
Maureen Scott had a win with Ivan before taking on Errol and this was a good manoeuvre as Maureen played with finesse much to the astonishment of Errol.
Miriam had wins with Colleen and Daisy but got a little frustrated with the westerly.
Daisy did very well to notch up two wins with Colleen and Miriam as she was so tossed about on one game, parts of her were scattered but typical Daisy she dusted herself off and won the game.
Just to illustrate how exacting this game can be Audrey executed not one but two jump shots and winning hoops but failed to win the game.

Footnote: That fresh-face Howe Park Tennis Club member Ross Thomson literally ambled to the croquet equipment trolley hauling it effortlessly back into the club house showing the respect the club has for these seniors.
