CLUB Champion, Mark Hale, teamed up with Tony Lamb to win the Club’s Foursomes Championships on Saturday with a very impressive 73 scratch score in this very difficult alternative shot format. Finishing only 3 under par in such difficult conditions was a testament to their combined abilities. Runners up were Gary Anderson and recent Merriwa Open winner, Mick Tracey with a 77 scratch score. Noel and C.Hughes won the net competition with an outstanding 65½, well clear of runners up, local juniors Joshua Tracey and Corey Lamb with their 71½. Joshua Tracey proved to be the sharp shooter of the day with two nearest the pins, with his best only 70 cms away on the 2nd. Prizes went down to 6th place which was well deserved in an event when saying sorry to your partner is a regular event.
