WHAT better way to spend a Friday lunchtime than enjoying a freshly cooked sausage sandwich among business associates and hopefully forging new contacts and establishing vital business networks.
This was the aim of the Manufacturing and Engineering Business Event hosted by Monadelphous Engineering and organised and sponsored by the Singleton Council, Singleton Chamber of Commerce and Industry, HunterNet and Hunter Founders Forum.
The event was well attended by more than 70 business and organisation representatives who not only enjoyed the sausage sizzle but also the chance to discuss business opportunities and hear from guest speakers about innovation in the market place and workplace.
The guest speakers from the hosts, Westrac and Create and Innovate covered the subjects of attracting staff and developing an innovative workplace.
While Hedweld representatives spoke on the subject of Global Distribution of Innovative Production – innovation in the marketplace.
Chamber secretary Gill Eason said the innovation happening in Singleton in engineering fields was astounding.
