YOUNG motocross rider Ryan Smith continued his great form on the track by winning the Australian Junior Dirt Track Titles last weekend in Taree Queensland.
The seven-year-old won all five of his races over the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, competing in the seven to nine years 50cc division.
It wasn’t all easy going for the emerging talent who won the NSW Dirt Track Titles and Casey Stoner Cup this earlier year because he was tackling a sealed track for the first time.
Ryan had no time to worry about the oiled track and adapted to the conditions despite having one dirt bike tyre on his bike.He was determined to win and had his best start to a race competition scoring four holeshots out of five.
The win completes a great first season of competitive motorbike racing for Ryan who in all his major racing events only missed out on first place twice coming second.
In September Ryan will face a much tougher challenge when he races the Australian Long Track Titles which will see him get on a different bike and learning how to use gears.
