THE sheer enthusiasm and persistence of Hank Hochfaerber means the Singleton shire now has an excellent table tennis facility.
Assisting Hank is his aim to establish the group in town was his employer, Coal and Allied, and Singleton Senior Citizens.
Coal and Allied provided funding for four competition quality table tennis tables and the senior citizens are providing a venue in their Bathurst Street centre where games will be played.
At an official launch of the table tennis group earlier this month Hank was extremely pleased to see a number of locals arrive with bats in hand and ready to play.
Attending this first night was former Singleton resident and international player Jacob Dyball.
Singleton Senior Citizens president Bill Oliver said representatives of his organisation were happy to host table and were especially pleased to support someone like Hank who was so keen to get the group up and running.
