SINGLETON Masonic Lodge raised a massive $10, 000 for the Singleton Cancer Appeal Committee from their bowling day at Club Singleton and with the help of the New South Wales Grand Lodge’s Masonicare.
The event held on May 27 saw 48 bowlers taking to the greens and a large onlooking crowd who also participated in the fundraiser.
On the day $5000 was raised and that donation was matched by Masonicare who gave another $5000 to the cause.
Singleton Cancer Appeal Committee president Kay Sullivan said that the committee was really happy about what was achieved and that the money raised will be going to Singleton Hospital to help with general improvements including the renovations of two special care rooms.
