A Little Bit of Itlay in Broke proved very popular. It is described as an annual celebration of the Italian spirit through the enjoyment of food, wine, friends, family and fun. Organisers promote their Broke Fordwich region as the tranquil side of the Hunter Valley with visitors able to enjoy a very relaxed autumn weekend partaking of the delights the area has to offer.
On the other side of the district another great weekend event was being staged for the tenth time - GumBall at ‘Dashville’ Lower Belford.
The music festival set in a beautiful bushland setting attracted more than 2000 visitors who enjoyed the music and the vibes.
What these two events show is that local people and organisations can stage high calibre and popular events - events people will travel great distances to attend and they also provide our local economy with that much talked about diversity.
Congratulations to all involved and looking forward to the 2015 events made easier to attend thanks to the Hunter Expressway.
