JUNIOR touch football is returning to Civic Park this October 10 and team registrations start next month. Team registrations are on Wednesday, September 12 at Civic Park from 4pm to 6:30pm.
It costs $45 per player to sign up for the season, registration forms can be downloaded from www,singletonjuniors.touch.asn.au.
Junior touch takes place on Wednesday afternoons at Civic Park and games go for 30 minutes.
“Touch is a good fun way to get exercise and there’s plenty of friends to make while down here,” said junior touch vice president Julie Tull.
“The great thing about touch is that it is more social, and there’s less pressure to win.”
“And you don’t have to travel out of town for away games.”
Last year 640 kids aged from seven to 16 played touch making up 68 teams and the club is hoping to repeat those numbers this year.
When it comes to eligibility players who turn seven-years-old by December 31 2012 can start playing junior touch.
Junior representative touch is also returning this year and a trial date will be announced within the next couple of weeks.
A junior representative touch committee member will be at the September 12 registration day to answer any questions about the representative competition.
