WOW what a day of golf on Saturday.
Congratulations to all those who ventured out onto the course braving the cyclonic conditions which invaded the Hunter Valley on Saturday.
The howling cold westerly winds made conditions nearly impossible as the scores indicated.
Mark Moylan won A Grade with 30 pts just ahead of Steve Kearney’s 29 pts, scores that usually don’t enter calculations.
Troy Felan won B Grade with an impressive 34 pts just ahead of club veteran Rod Moylan with 33 pts.
M.Lloyd’s 34 pts won him C grade just ahead of Todd Zawirski with 34 pts as well.
The nearest the pins all deserved an award as hitting any of our small greens on such a day deserves acclamation, especially C Wood’s on the long, difficult 13th.
The ball competition went to a record low, only 26 pts—10 shots over everyone’s par.
It’s a shame that the golf link doesn’t recognize days like this.
Next week’s event is the Foursomes Championships in each grade –good luck everyone.
