DESPITE a 22 hour road trip, riding on a very technical track she had never seen before and few close calls, Motorcross rider Tia Davis is now number one in the country.

After winning the girls 11-U16 85/150cc class at the Australian Junior Long Track Titles in Townsville on July, 12 during the school holidays.
“I am the number one junior girl in Australia, New South Wales and Queensland,” she said with a huge smile.
However her Mum, Rebecca said that on the day Tia just wanted to beat the boys.
Tia took out third place when she raced against her male counterparts in the 11-13yrs 85/150cc big wheel event.
It was a mammoth effort for Tia and her family to even get to titles in North Queensland and to their surprise one her sponsors even made the trip.
“Brian and Alison Knowlan from Port Tune Performance flew up to Townsville to watch Tia race,” Rebecca said.
“Then they came all the way home in the car with us.”
We are grateful for their support as it is an expensive sport with all the maintenance and travelling, she said.

Fearless, Tia is also about to step up to the much bigger 250cc class and her first event will be a series of three races called the winter masters in Tamworth , she said
Her Mum is not quite sure about the jump but an excited Tia can’t wait.
