At 11;20am on Friday morning a Holden sedan towing a caravan was making a right hand turn from the Golden Highway when it collided with a truck travelling north on the New England Highway.
The collision destroyed the caravan and left the driver of the truck with minor injuries.
Ambulance, police and fire brigades attended the scene which disrupted traffic on both highways.
Witnesses said it was a miracle no one was seriously injured.
The intersection has been the site of numerous serious accidents and ongoing upgrades do not appear to be solving the problems associated with the site.
