And even if some student’s grandparents can’t attend it does not matter said Julie Harvey.
“You just adopt some extra grandchildren for the day,” she said with a laugh.
Mrs Harvey travelled from Tenambit to spend the day at school with two of her grandchildren that attend SPS.
She said it is a wonderful day that also gives her a valuable insight into what the children are learning.
The organised chaos that was the afternoon activity session was clearly enjoyed by all with students and their special guests taking part in a number of planned activities.
These ranged from doing the Hokey Pokey and exploding corks out of bottles in a science experiment to playing ball games.
