THE Singleton Bulls secured the First Division Club Championship for a second year in-a-row on the weekend after they posted two wins in first and second grade against Cooks Hill.

Meanwhile the Curtis Delaney premier colts continued their good run of form leading up to the finals overcoming Nelson Bay 39-5.
The colts are now in fifth place on the ladder and only require a bonus point in their final regular season fixture against Lake Macquarie to gurantee a position in the finals but will be looking for a win to keep their roll on.
The predicted heavy rain didn’t fall on Saturday and the Bulls game plan didn’t change much as a consequence.
The Singleton Earth Moving and Gleeson Civil Engineering first grade defeated a defensively tough Cooks Hill outfit 17-5.
Lincoln Adler was impressive for the Bulls scoring two tries and almost grabbed third but the last pass was deemed forward.
Daniel Bates was the other try scorer for the Bulls.
In the McDonald’s second grade clash the Bulls managed to keep Cooks Hill scoreless in their 21-0 victory.
They scored first through Elliot Pankhurst who had to stretch the full length of his arm to find the line.
Daniel Robbins and Daniel Bates were also rewarded for their efforts with tries of their own.
Alex Dunn had a perfect day with the boot converting all three tries. The Bulls first and second grade now have a break before playing in the major semi finals on August 30 at Highbrook Park. A reminder for Bulls players that presentation night is on on Saturday, September 20, starting at 5:30pm, cost will be $80 per person which will include entertainment, as well as dinner, beer and wine for a portion of the night.
