Jake finished fifth in the Australasian team and was one of their top riders incurring only two penalties in the two day competition, by hitting railings.
The team totalled 20 penalties in total, the European team took out the gold.
Jake is riding For The Star and will approach the individual event with confidence after already running through the 12 obstacle course.
The individual event starts on day seven of the Youth Olympics this Saturday and features all 30 riders from the team competition.
