Singleton Stroke Recovery Group members Greg Bruce, Robyn Crittenden and Bruce Biden, along with 100 other people, tested their skills at the Hexham Bowling Club last week.
And, the trio returned with some excellent results.
Mr Biden collected a gold medal in the euchre category while Mr Bruce picked up bronze, thanks to his trusty golf putter.
All three contested a variety of events, which included cards, putting and, even, dominoes.
Singleton Stroke Recovery Group treasurer Diane Bailey said it was a major event for the members.
“Eight clubs across the region take part on an annual basis,” she told The Argus.
“Everyone here loves it – it’s a great day out.
“They look forward to the Hunter Stroke Olympics every year.
“A big thanks must also go to Col ‘Just the Bus Driver’ Paul, who volunteered his services to take us there and bring us home.”
