The painting had to be postponed due to bad weather on September 5 when Bunnings offered to help out, however they were able to do prep work and many other much-needed jobs.
“We are very grateful to Singleton Rotary Club and Singleton on Hunter Rotary Club who worked together today with us,” Singleton Scout Group leader Angela Fuller said.
“It was a huge task with temperatures reaching 38 degrees.
“There were 11 Rotarians working on our Scout Hall and on an underpass at Wilcox Avenue, in addition to four leaders and one very hard-working Scout.
“Thanks to a recent Bridgman Ridge Grant we were able to purchase the paint, which cost about $1000 to cover the graffiti.
“The Scout Hall looks wonderful and we are calling for help from the local community to keep watch and report any criminal activity to police.”
