The bans come into effect midnight tonight (Friday).
The Hunter is classified as having a "severe" fire danger level.
Along with North Coast, Greater Sydney, North Western and Upper Central West Plains regions.
No fires may be lit in the open and are all fire permits are suspended during a total fire ban. Gas and electric barbecues may be used provided certain conditions are met.
