More than 200 cars, from the classics to fully-customised, are expected to roll into the Singleton Showground for the 16th edition of Motorfest, formerly known as Show ‘N’ Shine.
Doors open at 9am for the public and 6.30am for entrants.
Organised by the Singleton Street Machines, all the profits from the event go to local charities and 2014’s recipients are Endeavour Muswellbrook and Singleton’s under-10 junior rugby team.
Planning for the extravaganza starts the moment the last one finishes and that was same this year, with the committee looking to add something new all the time.
On this occasion, the addition is the 4WD Flex Comp.
There are more than just great cars to check out at the Motorfest with grass events on both days and the Smash Up Derby tomorrow while Dyno is also open to the public.
A jumping castle and face-painting stalls will be available over the weekend for the kids and more than 40 market stalls have also registered.
“We get people coming from all over the place to be a part of the event,” Singleton Street Machines vice-president Steven Leslie said.
“I think, locally, there’s much in the way of grass events up here in the Hunter so that’s a big draw.”
Entrants to the Motorfest and other events are welcome on the day.
There are hundreds of trophies and cash prizes to be won and people can find out more information online at www.singletonstreetmachines.webs.com
