On average 133 people, from all different fitness backgrounds, gear up for a jog or stroll every Saturday morning at Rose Point Park.
A total of 11,345km has been covered by runners in 1352 hours since the inauguration and a total of 585 personal bests have been beaten by the 699 participants so far.
“It’s been really good for Singleton,” volunteer Jane Watson said.
“We’re entering the festive season and have had some wet weather, so numbers are slowing but people are still coming.
“We never struggle with volunteers either which is great.
“Parkruns are starting everywhere so a lot of people know what’s going on and a little bit of encouragement from friends is seeing more people introduced to it.”
Watson said she decided to become a volunteer after hearing the Singleton organiser was going on holiday.
“I ran it before but was happy to help out to keep the event going,” she said.
Running in first on Saturday was Phil Tweed (18 minutes 59 seconds) who travelled from Lake Macquarie to take part in the race.
He travels to parkruns around the state and is preparing for an ultra-marathon.
