THE Hunter Mutual Singleton Junior Rugby League will be hoping to ride on the same wave of success as its senior counterparts this weekend.
It is Grand Final Day for all junior competitions and once again the club has performed extremely well with six (6) Singleton teams engaged for the final game of the year.
Congratulations to the Under 10 Red, Under 10 White, Under 11 White, Under 12 (Div 1), Under 14 (Div 5) and Under 15 (Div 2) teams. Whatever the results on the weekend you have done yourself and the club proud, enjoy the moment.
Mini-Mod league which takes place at Muswellbrook will also finish after the weekend’s games.
The club is urging the junior teams to stay a little longer and support some of the grand final teams that also play at Muswellbrook during the day. A big pat on the back for our mini league teams who have put in a big year on the field and it must be said, are displaying some outstanding ability and deriving plenty of enjoyment from the game, well done.
Commiserations go to our club’s Under 11 Red and Under 16(3) teams that lost their Preliminary Final games last Saturday.
Again your efforts to make it so far have been admirable and the club thanks coaches Chris Martin (11’s) and Jordan Frohloff, Ethan Coe and Ethan Brittliffe (16’s) for their commitment in 2012.
Please note there has been some adjustment from game times that were released earlier in the week. These have now been settled and appear both in this editorial and club website. The Under 12(1) grand Final will be held on Sunday as opposed to Saturday which is normal protocol for the Maitland Schoolboys competition.
