The 17-year-old faced a number of women whom had represented Australia at various events throughout the world.
With overcast skies and very heavy rain at times, conditions weren’t conducive for good scores.
And, shooting was always going to be difficult for all the assembled female competitors.
Pearce managed to produce three decent rounds of 21/25, 20/25 and 23/25 for a total of 64/75.
“This put Kimberley in fifth position and into the single barrel final, with the top six scores contesting the decider,” her father, and Singleton Clay Target Club secretary/treasurer, Denis Pearce said.
“Fifteen targets are shot in the final to find out which shooters go into the medal shoot-off rounds.
“Unfortunately, this time, Kimberley missed the shoot-off for the bronze medal round by one target.
“She’ll now set her sights on the second round of the Australia Cup, which will take place in Brisbane in April.”
