They not only provided manpower when it came to the school’s Monster Working Bee but also the resources to finish the jobs.
Their efforts were backed up by staff members and parents from the school community.
Some of the projects included erecting two new flag poles, a new brick entry sign and the construction of a sensory play area.
“All the hard work is done in the new sensory play area, we are just waiting for the equipment,” Cindy explains.
“The upgrading of the security lighting is a work in progress.
“It was a fantastic day; an overwhelming amount of work got done.
“The volunteers from Glencore were hard-working, obliging and polite at all times and were a credit to their company.
“Of course, we also had dedicated members of staff and parents working extremely hard all morning, and for this we are very grateful.”
Ms Judge said the Singleton Lions Club provided a barbecue lunch.
She says Glencore, Daracon, Singleton Lions and volunteers from KSPS are all to be sincerely thanked.
