The first innings was highlighted by an excellent 76 from former NSW, Scotland and Australian A representative Corey Richards.
However, he was the only Masters’ player to really knock the ball around with the next best with the bat Lisa Sthalekar, who only scored 11.
Credit must go to the Singleton team who were outstanding with their bowling and in the field, highlighted by Rodney Luxford’s diving catch in the deep that sent Clint McKay packing.
Veterans Luxford and Darren Thompson were playing their last games and performed well in this Twenty20 clash, rising to the occasion.
Captain Blake Cook and Max Hillier took two wickets each while Jacob Leighton, Jacob McCormick, Abe Jones and Darren Thompson grabbed a single scalp.
Rain threatened to derail the game after the first innings but Singleton went into to bat and reached the total with one over to spare.
Dan Oldknow opened for the hosts and was only three runs short of a half century in what was a great start for the local side.
Thompson, in his last hit-out, fired 32, including three sixes before being caught by Valley player Jacob Carey in the field for the Masters.
Youngster Nick Stokes took control of the later portion of the game steering the team home with 29 not out.
Shtalekar was best with the ball for the Masters, sending two batsmen packing, while Joe Dawes and James Muirhead also registered a wicket.
A large crowd flocked to Howe Park for the fixture and cheered home a rampant Singleton outfit with mix of experience and youth.
On Thursday, the Masters visited schools around the Singleton district to run coaching clinics with youngsters and were part of cricket legends night at the Singleton Rugby Club.
