The weather was perfect and from the petting zoo for the kids to coffee for the Mums and Dads there was plenty going on.
Playgroup NSW CEO Karen Bevan says World’s Biggest Playgroup Day acknowledges the vital role of playgroup for families.
“Playgroup provides opportunities for children 0-5 to socialise and connect with other children, which is important for their development,” she said.
“It also offers a chance to learn through diverse and engaging play.
“This is the first year a World’s Biggest Playgroup Day has been run in Singleton, following Playgroup NSW’s decision to expand the event into regional NSW.
“Singleton was awarded the funds to run the event off the back of an enthusiastic pitch from the dedicated local playgroup.”
