She also took the gold in the 100m event during the Easter long weekend competition and said she was now taking a rest after a big season of preparation.
“I’ll be entering a de-train recuperation time because I worked hard, it takes a lot out of the body,” Robinson said.
The 39-year-old set a record of 7.97 seconds in the 60m and defied the odds as the oldest competitor in her age division 35-39.
She qualified for the Nationals after her success at state in March where she came first in the 60m and second in the 100m, her strongest events.
Robinson attended the Australian tournament three years ago, winning three silver medals in the sprints and has continued to train hard to trade silver for gold.
She is hoping to enter a new event at the World Masters Games in Perth with her competitors at the sprint events in the 4 x 100m relay.
“I raced against them in Sydney and they were really fast and very close to getting past me, so we’re forming a relay team,” Robinson said.
“Obviously, I’m really hoping to do well in the main event, the 100m, but this could be another medal chance.”
