To be held at the Bulga Recreation Ground, it kicks off at 10am and runs all day with music, markets, art and displays of cars, bikes and machinery, as well as plenty of entertainment for children.
Free camping overnight is available at the ground with a special treat for the “stayers” – a big hearty breakfast then some yoga followed by a bush walk.
A guest appearance will be made by Michael Caton, from The Castle, who will no doubt provide some entertaining moments with his straight-talking approach to life.
Bulga resident and one of the festival’s organisers Anne Maree McLaughlin said the event would involve the whole community and is not a protest rally but a chance to celebrate a wonderful community.
“We want to show people our past and say we have a great future,” she said.
“And the support we have received has been simply wonderful.
“Our local café and tavern are both part of the event.”
Bulga Hall will be transformed into a gallery and among the raffle prizes are two guitars one signed by John Butler and the other by Peter Garrett.
Bands performing on the day include the Crying Tree and Tamworth’s Golden Guitar winner Luke O’ Shea.
