A sluggish start by the Roosters saw them trail by 19 points at quarter time, 3.1.19 to 0.1.1, after failing to kick a goal in the first term.
From this point on, Singleton gradually reduced the deficit and went in the sheds behind 6.2.38 to 3.6.24.
Then they trailed by just nine at the last break.
The effort, however, took its toll as Warners Bay was able to pull away in the last quarter to win by 22 points.
Andrew MacPherson, Sam Howard, Hugh Smith, Alex Moore, Colm Hand and Sam Brasington were the best for Singleton.
MacPherson booted two majors, as did Howard and Hand, while Moore and Smith landed one each.
The senior outfit sits in second last spot on the ladder, just ahead of Lake Macquarie, who is yet to record a victory in 2015.
On a positive note, the Roosters’ second division side kept their finals hopes alive with a come from behind 15-point win.
This weekend, Singleton travels to the Central Coast to take on league heavyweights, Terrigal Avoca.
