BILL Blanch has plenty of ideas on how to spend his $1000 Bunnings voucher after having a private consultation with Better Homes and Gardens gardening expert Jason Hodges.
Mr Blanch won The Argus competition and enjoyed every second of his one hour consultation.
Mr Hodges complimented the Blanches on their productive vegetable patch and complained that the mulberrys weren’t ripe and went on to tell a yarn about a mulberry experience that involved his first communion, a white shirt and his mother scrubbing his face before the family headed off to church.
Mr Hodges suggested the Blanches extend their boundary garden to screen neighbouring buildings, gave some paving advice and took photographs of the front and rear yard, promising to do some designs they could consider.
He was also very taken by Mr Blanches woodwork skills and said the display of replica heavy vehicles was worthy of its own segment on the television show.
