It was a successful meet with many locals achieving places in their races.
The stand out events for the day was both the open women and men freestyle relay teams.
“Both were nail-biting races as Singleton swimmers raced to the end and placed first in each event, with at least a 50m lead in front of second place,” Singleton Intertown coordinator Jasmyne Munro said.
The open women’s relay team comprised of Shanae Howard, Brooke Ingold, Isabella Jones, Nikki Moody, Munro and Courtney Stephens, while Harrison Geale, Darcy Gilson, Lachlan Jones, Oliver Moody, Noel Woods and Riley Woods took control of the open men’s squad.
Singleton has witnessed some extraordinary successes over the past couple of weeks with Moody winning the dash for cash at the Scone qualifying carnival earlier in the month.
It was the quickest $300 he has made in 25 seconds.
Woods and Olivia Davidson also both placed second in the 12 and under dash for cash.
Singleton is still in the lead on the point score at 897 points for the Upper Hunter Intertown competition, closely followed by Denman on 869.
The next carnival will take place at Merriwa on November 28.
