WINNER: Eddie Barrett was the overall winner at the Branxton veterans championship.
OVER the past two weeks, the Branxton Veterans have run their championships with good fields turning out on both days.
After the collation of the numbers, Div. 1 player, Eddie Barrett was declared the overall winner with a score of 125 scratch for the 28 holes played (two 14 hole rounds).
The scratch runner up was two strokes behind with 127 scratch. Nett winner J. Coward 106 net, countback from nett runner up John Mitchell 106 net, countback.
Stableford winner was Gary Beeton 57 countback and Ray Chenery stableford runner up 53 countback.
Division Two results were: Scratch winner Gerry Irwin 139, Scratch runner up Guy Cornwell 143. Nett winner Alan Hackett 100, nett runner up Carl Christie 102. Stableford winner Brian Daley 61 points, Stableford runner up Ian Preston 54 points.
Ladies Division scratch winner Helen Vandenbruggen 165, runner up Fran Oakes 188. Nett winner Carol Miller 115 net, runner up Audrey Brown 149 nett.
Stableford winner Janette Irwin 54 points with Robyn Friis 53 points runner up.

Long time Secretary, Norm Brown has decided to resign from his position and will be sadly missed.
He leaves some large boots to fill as he has been the power behind the huge success of Branxton Veterans Golf Club since its inception.
The members present expressed their gratitude to Norm for the tremendous contribution he has made.
