At the home of football in Singleton, 76 young footballers were put through their paces over three days.
Now in its third year, the coaching clinic represents a great opportunity for young players to hone their skills before the 2016 season kicks off this Saturday.
SSFC board chairman and convener of the clinic, Mark Henderson, was ecstatic with the results.
“It’s just terrific to see the future of the Strikers in such good hands. The kids have great fun and they learn new skills from some of the best and most qualified coaches around,” he says.
“They also get to meet young Strikers who have graduated from the junior ranks into senior football, just like the clinic participants will one day graduate.”
Henderson says it is particularly pleasing to see a number of young girls involved in the clinic and not just as players but also as coaches.
“Female participation in football continues to grow across the region,” he explains.
The players – aged from 5 to 15 – were coached by Strikers new head coach David Willoughby.
Along with goalkeeping coach, former first grader and life member Warren Gillespie, former first grade coach, first grader, life member, and current first grade assistant coach Steve Koosmen, current first graders Stuart Plant and Sam Ford, and club stalwart Tim Rohr.
They were assisted by U17 players Corey Henderson, Brad Fairclough, Trae Proudlock, and Hamish Mayled, along with Singleton female players Hannah Bates & Charlotte Alexander.
