The draw of the eight remaining teams in Northern NSW was live streamed, and saw the Singleton Strikers drawn as the home team against fellow NEWFM First Grade outfit Thornton Redbacks.
Singleton’s influential midfield maestro Sam Ford was interviewed by NBN TV after the draw, and summed it up perfectly.
“It is a piece of history for the Club to get this far into the FFA Cup – it’s fantastic. It is good to be a part of it as a played, and it is good to be a part of it as a Club”, Ford said.
The Round 6 clash is to be played on Saturday, June 18 at midday at the Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility.
The winner will progress to a Round 7 clash on Sunday.
