A birthday cake, the induction of three new members and some comedic relief saw plenty of laughs had at the Ladies Probus Club of Singleton’s monthly meeting.

It looked like all of their 126 financial members turned up to celebrate their 17th birthday on Thursday at Singleton Diggers.
President Jan Hudson welcomed Beryl Ricardo, Julie Chalker and Maralyn Bridge to the fold.
Telling them they will find the activities many and varied, and this is certainly the case.
Next Wednesday the Ladies are embarking on a ‘Christmas in July’ Sydney Harbour cruise.
In September they are heading up to the Sunshine Coast for seven days to enjoy all that the region has to offer, including a stay at the charming village of Montville in the hinterland and another cruise from Noosa to Tewantin.
The honour of cutting the birthday cake was given to Joyce Cozier and then, the singing began.
With plenty of upcoming events to enjoy, it’s easy to see why the club’s membership base is so strong.
And, why even though the members are retired, their schedules are full – full of fun, friendship and good times.
