Soccer star, Bell is heading to Perth on August 20 and talented touch player, Ellis will venture to Caloundra on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast in September.
For Year 12 student, Bell, it is the first time she has been selected at this level.
Although the goal keeper has played for the Hunter Hawks, the emerging jets and now, plays first grade for South Wallsend.
She has also doned the green and gold on a tour of Spain with the U15 Australian womens futsal team in 2014.
Bell says at present she should be touring Malaysia with the U19 Australian Futsal side.
Unfortunately, she passed on the opportunity to concentrate on her studies.
Along with a tour of America earlier this year.
But she can’t wait to compete in Perth because a good performance there could see her selected to play in London.
“I have one more training session in Sydney on Thursday night, then we fly out,” she says.
However, year 10 student Ellis, played for the U15 NSW CHS team at the national championships in Adelaide last year.
His performance earned him a spot in the All Australian Merit Squad.
In fact Ellis’ representative history goes back to his primary school days.
When he was selected to be in the Public Schools Sports Association (PSSA) state touch team.
He then went on to captain the team at the national championships in Queensland.
Earlier this year he played in the Newcastle U16 State Cup team and they won the competition.
For the past two years Ellis has concentrated on Touch Football after sustaining some serious injuries while playing Rugby League.
But he told The Argus a league comeback is on the cards.
Not surprising as quick google search reveals his selection in the 2014 U14 Hunter Valley Group 21 junior rep side, alongside the likes of Tom Baker and Hayden Bourke.
For now Ellis has another two-day training camp to attend in Taree before he once again takes to the national stage.
