And, they did it in convincing fashion defeating the Goannas 42-12 on Saturday.
After going down to them in the major semi and having to take the hard road to the “big dance” - the boys are over the moon.
It is indeed a fairytale end to a long, and tough season, as many of the team had a double work load.
Most of the boys are also part of Singleton High School’s successful Open Boys Rugby League side, who are still in the running to take home the University Shield.
They were semi-finalists in the prestigious GIO school boys cup.
Proud parent, Melinda Grant says it is the first time an U17’s Singleton team has won a premiership in the Newcastle based competition.
