Originally a brass band, the town band now incorporates woodwind instruments and performs as a concert band.
Throughout each year the band performs at numerous community functions and is passionate about encouraging new musicians of all ages.
This enthusiasm and encouragement to get musician on board is evidenced by the thriving Intermediate Band programme as well as the Late Starters programme, both based at the band hall.
On Saturday November 5, the band will hold its annual “Bands In Concert” performance at the Civic Centre, Singleton.
In addition to the Singleton Town Band, the concert will feature a combined primary schools’ band, Singleton Intermediate Town Band and talented musicians from the local community.
Tickets will be available at the door from 6pm, for a 6.30pm start.
Community members are encouraged to show their support for the Singleton Town band and other local musicians by attending the performance.
The evening is bound to be a fantastic event, with good music and a great atmosphere.
Don’t miss you chance to see the Singleton Town Band’s “Bands in Concert” on November 5.
