The man was seen performing numerous burn-outs in John Street between the intersection of York and Gowrie streets on Saturday, November 19 at 11.46pm.
At the time of the offence there were approximately 30 pedestrians on footpaths who witnessed the driver doing burn-outs in his Nissan utility.
At one stage a male was seen holding onto the rear of the utility tray and other vehicles trying to travel along John Street were forced off the road to avoid an accident.
Police spoke to the driver on Sunday, November 20 during which time he made a full confession saying he was egged on by his mates.
His driver’s licence was suspended on the spot and the registration of the Nissan utility was also suspended at the same time.
The accused was charged to appear in Singleton Local Court with aggravated burn-out and drive in a dangerous manner.
