A 2003 model black Holden Ute was set alight and destroyed by fire on the Range Road overpass sometime between 6.30pm on Saturday February 18 and 7am on Sunday February 19. The car owner was driving over the overpass when his vehicle stalled. He was unable to restart his car and contacted a friend to pick him up. When he returned, the vehicle had been destroyed by an unknown cause of fire.
Stolen Vehicle – Broke
A 2002 black Holden commodore utility was stolen between 7pm on Wednesday February 15 and 7am on Thursday February 16 and parked at Howe St, Broke. Unknown person/s have stolen the vehicle by unknown means and method.
Mid Range PCA – Singleton Heights
A 30-year-old male driving a 2010 blue Kia Rio sedan was pulled over and arrested at around 7.30pm on Saturday after returning a positive reading on a random breath test. The accused was pulled over along Wilcox Avenue, Singleton Heights and was subjected to a road side breath test. He was arrested after blowing a positive reading of 0.083 grams of alcohol in 210 litres of breath. A check on the accused drivers licence number confirmed the accused held a class C drivers licence and was in fact suspended due to fine default. The Muswellbrook driver was issued a notice of confiscation of drivers licence and will appear before Singleton local court on the March 16.
Mid Range PCA – Singleton
At around 4.30am on Saturday February 18, a 43-year-old female driver was pulled over along the New England Highway and arrested after submitting a positive breath of 0.100 grams of alcohol in 210 litres of breath. The accused, who was driving a Black Holden Commodore, was issued a field court attendance notice for drive with middle range PCA and will appear at Singleton Local Court on the February 28.
