Community members can also register as individuals by heading to the Clean Up Australia Day website.
In the past, Tidy Towns has enjoyed the support from organisations such as the Scouts and this year, Tidy Towns chairperson Lyn MacBain is hoping more people will get involved.
“Singleton residents take pride in the presentation of our town but there are pockets that need to have a regular clean up and Clean Up Australia Day is the obvious opportunity,” Mrs MacBain said.
Those who want to get involved can register online at cleanupaustraliaday.org.au or contact Singleton Tidy Towns on 65722235.
Alternatively you can arrive on the day with your gloves and hat, and register at the Tidy Towns registration point. This point will be located at Baileys Union Park, John Street near the roundabout.
Singleton Lions Club will also be cooking up a free barbecue breakfast from 8am at Baileys Union Park to give volunteers the strength to do the ‘dirty work’ needed to make our town tidy.
