In continental shooting the targets are thrown at different elevations as well as angles.
The competition was hosted in two events - No. 1 – 50 Targets Double Barrel and No. 2 – 50 Targets Pointscore.
Participants represented all valley clubs.
The results were:
Event 1 – 50 Targets Double Barrel
AA grade: 1st Cesar Diaz 52/53, 2nd David White 51/53
A grade: 1st Darren Boonstoppel 48/50, 2nd Dick Chapman 47/50
B grade: 1st John Douglas 48/50, 2nd Mark Halton 49/53
C grade: 1st Fred Williamson 49/50, 2nd Richard Jones 43/50
Event 2 – 50 Targets Pointscore
AA grade: 1st Cesar Diaz 145/150, 2nd Denis Pearce 142/150
A grade: 1st Peter Fiorenza 144/150, 2nd Dick Chapman 142/150
B grade: 1st Gary Pascoe 142/150, 2nd John Douglas 136/150
C grade: 1st Richard Jones 134/150, 2nd Olly Lighezzolo 133/150
At the presentation all winners commented on a great day’s shooting.
As usual a big thanks to Anne, Robyn and Tracey in the kitchen and Julie and Denis in the office.
Gratitude also to Jack, Lionel and Darren who looked after the traps.
The next meeting will be on April 9 and 10 – a two-day SSAA Field and Game Shoot.
Weekly practice is on each Wednesday from 10am until dark.
