The Singleton Greyhounds turned Newcastle Knights players defeated the Cronulla Sharks in the women’s nines exhibition match held at Southern Cross Group Stadium this evening.
The final score was 16-12.
The match was played after the men’s NRL match and saw some of the most talented female players, including a host of Jillaroos, take to the field.
Desmond describes the experience as “nerve racking, amazing and wicked”.
She says they won’t be partying too hard as they have trial against Penrith tomorrow (Sunday) and kick off is at 1pm.
“And it’s country selections,” she says.
Congratulations girls!
